Not used to painting with oil paints, I decided to give them a try, and to make life harder for myself, I would throw in a mono chrome study into the picture at the same time. The image that was used here was very random, a few cut-down pallets, an old battered trombone, buckets placed around the scene and a piece of string with plastic cups tied to it. Now, why should anyone want to paint such a scene? Easy, DADA, creating art from the ugly, but breaking the DADA ethos, I couldn't keep it ugly, I had to make the painting so that it is still worthy of being placed onto a wall. The results here is interesting as there are different elements that can be read into the image and each person that has seen this has seen something different, my personal favourite is the cat!
